CHAPTER 1

The Character's Actions

The man Jack was possibly the villain of the story since it relates with the title, The Graveyard Book, which is clearly an association to death. Because in the first chapter, he killed a baby's family, which makes him a killer and shows that he has caused death. 

My thoughts

I like the fact he is mysterious and questionable. He seems to have a very interesting character. However, I dislike him for his unforgivable actions and the fact that he gained satisfaction after he killed a family. Jack's actions are sinister and dark which adds more point and development to his very mysterious and dark personality. It looked obvious he showed no mercy after he killed the family. In my perspective, it looks as if he thought his actions that he just did was what he was born to do. He looked very eager and satisfied to do it. Jack said he was a professional. A professional for murdering people. Most likely, from my thoughts and opinions, he thought this was probably his purpose. 

Conclusion 

The fact that Jack was frustrated that he didn't get the chance to murder the baby of the family shows even more evidence that he was highly satisfied with his actions as he killed the rest of the baby's family members. It really intrigues me but also terrifies me at the same time. He seems to show a lot of passion when it comes to murdering people, since he finished up all his victims quite excellently and he seemed to show genuine care with his weapon. The knife. He cherishes it since it does the job that needs to be done. Overall, Jack shows a lot of motivation when it comes to his actions, which is murder.

Questions & Reflections -Graveyard Book-

  QUESTIONS & REFLECTIONS *** KATINKA CHAPTER: 1  There were actually so many questions and confusions that popped in my mind as I was reading the Graveyard Book. And in this blog, I will share a couple of them that intrigued me. First of all, I was very confused why the man Jack was so desperate to murder Bod. It shows he was very angry and frustrated when he didn't get the chance to kill him. What was his motive? Did he have a reason to do this and was there a purpose? Or was he simply doing this for fun? That thought stayed in my mind for a while.  There was the baby, Nobody. He was, most likely in the story, Bod.
